**Manager, Electric Engine Software - (SJ2026MA)** **About Archer** Aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. Designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise. **What You'll Do** • Build, lead, and mentor a world-class team with expertise in flight-critical software development complying with DO178C • Coordinate flight software development, verification, and certification of the aerospace powertrain, including motor control • Participate in defining and documenting streamlined software development and verification processes for safety-critical software • Collaborate with certification and safety teams to develop the Plan for Software Aspects of Certification (PSAC) • Guide architecture and design of in-house software to facilitate testing and analysis • Take software through Stages of Involvement (SOI) audits 1-4 and meet all DO178C objectives • Oversee tool qualification to DO330 and establish KPIs to monitor and improve processes • Foster team collaboration and support personal development **Requirements** • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science • 120+ months experience in: C Programming, Aerospace Software Development (DO-178), Safety Critical Software, Software Development Life Cycle • Previous role as Software Engineer, Technical Lead, or Software Engineering Manager **Compensation & Details** 💰 $242,873 - $255,016.65 per year 📍 San Jose, California ⚠️ No visa sponsorship available at this time **To Apply** Visit https://www.archer.com/careers and include job code **SJ2026MA** on resume/CV and cover letter. *Archer is an Equal Opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity.*
