We're building meaningful products that inspire a lifelong love of reading through technology, storytelling, and learning innovation. **About the Role** The IT Systems Administrator runs Epic's day-to-day IT operations and maintains continuous audit-readiness. You'll own corporate identity and access, endpoint and application management, and employee IT support. Working from goals set by technology leadership, you'll have wide ownership of how the work gets done while maintaining access records, change history, and control evidence for audits and security reviews. **What You'll Do** • Administer corporate identity and access across Google Workspace and core business applications • Evolve the identity stack with SSO, lifecycle automation, and identity tooling • Own the complete user lifecycle — provisioning, role transitions, and deprovisioning • Run periodic user access reviews and drive remediation to closure • Enforce authentication and device standards (MFA, encryption, patching, baselines) • Own device provisioning including MDM enrollment and zero-touch deployment • Produce and maintain evidence for IT controls; support audits and security reviews • Maintain inventory of applications, hardware, and access permissions • Provide day-to-day IT support for employees • Define and document IT procedures and maintain runbooks • Partner with infrastructure and people operations on policy rollout and incident response **Required Qualifications** • 5+ years in IT administration or IT operations with hands-on identity, endpoint, and business-application experience • Experience supporting formal compliance programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar) • Working knowledge of IAM — SSO, MFA, and user lifecycle management • Experience administering Google Workspace or comparable suite • Strong troubleshooting across hardware, OS, networking, and SaaS applications • Clear communication and documentation skills • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience **Preferred Qualifications** • macOS fleet management with modern MDM (Jamf, Kandji, Intune, etc.) • Conditional/context-aware access implementation • Familiarity with COPPA, FERPA, GDPR requirements • Compliance automation platform experience (Vanta, Drata, etc.) • Identity governance or access-review tooling experience • SSO integrations using SAML and SCIM • Scripting automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) **Location:** Fully remote, US-based
