**Sr Software Engineer - Backend** **About the Role** Help build and evolve the backend systems powering ClassPass, a platform connecting people with fitness and wellness experiences worldwide. You'll partner closely with Product, Design, and QA to deliver reliable, scalable solutions from concept to production. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and develop robust backend services and APIs • Partner across teams to deliver features from ideation through deployment • Promote engineering excellence through automated testing, code reviews, and monitoring • Drive simplicity by reducing unnecessary complexity • Contribute to architecture decisions in a microservices ecosystem • Strengthen operational health and system resilience • Lead with curiosity, mentor teammates, and foster collaborative culture **What You'll Bring** • 8+ years building and operating backend systems for large-scale SaaS platforms • Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, C#, or similar object-oriented languages • Experience architecting microservices environments • Familiarity with monitoring tools (New Relic, Kibana) • Strong SQL and relational database skills • Understanding of SDLC, design patterns, and Agile methodologies • Excellent cross-functional communication skills **Tech Stack** Java • Kotlin • C# • Javascript • React • Microservices • SQL • New Relic • Kibana **Compensation** Base salary: $151,000 - $200,000 (US) + performance bonus, benefits, and incentive plans **Equal Opportunity Employer** We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences.
