We help ML engineers move faster across the full development lifecycle: creating features, generating training data, running offline experiments, validating model quality, launching production models, and operating ML systems reliably. **What You'll Do** • Own the technical strategy for the end-to-end Ads ML engineer lifecycle • Align Ads ML platform priorities with Reddit's broader ML Platform vision • Define architecture and technical standards for ML feature and training-data systems • Stay close to ML engineers to identify high-leverage friction points • Build platform abstractions and workflow automation for faster, safer ML development • Extend platform strategy into serving and online experimentation workflows • Partner across teams to drive durable execution • Mentor Staff and senior engineers, raising the technical bar **Who You Might Be** • 8+ years in infrastructure, distributed systems, ML platforms, or large-scale backend systems • 4+ years building or operating production ML infrastructure or feature platforms • Led broad, multi-team platform initiatives from strategy through adoption • Deep experience with distributed data/compute systems (Spark, Flink, Kafka, Ray, Airflow, Kubernetes, etc.) • Can balance urgent needs with durable long-term architecture • Influence through clear technical reasoning and design reviews **Benefits** Comprehensive healthcare, 401(k) with match, flexible vacation, paid parental leave, mental health support, family planning support, and more. **Compensation** Base salary: $292,500–$409,500 USD (plus equity and potential commission) **Work Arrangement** Flexible workforce—work remotely or from office locations as preferred.
