As a **Staff AI Researcher**, you’ll join a cross-functional team of scientists, engineers, and drug hunters to advance **AI-powered drug discovery**, working across end-to-end applications from discovery to design and translation. ### The Team You’ll Join Recursion is a pioneer in AI-native drug discovery. Over the past decade, we’ve built large-scale infrastructure across drug discovery and clinical development, including one of the largest AI compute clusters in biopharma and industrial-scale phenomics for perturbation data generation at cellular resolution. Our mission is **“decoding biology to radically improve lives.”** You’ll work in a fast-iterating environment with frontier research, industrialized wet and dry labs, and real-world delivery—similar to a lean startup. ### The Experience You Will Need - PhD in ML, NLP, computer vision, or equivalent practical experience - Passion for real-world applications and impact - Strong verbal and writing communication skills - 7+ years of frontier AI research experience - Experience with large datasets and cross-functional AI projects - Biomedicine and drug discovery experience is a plus; willingness to learn is a must ### Working Location & Compensation - **Fully remote** - Can be based anywhere across the **United States**
