**Engineering Manager, Credit Cards & Banking** **About the Role** Lead a team of software engineers building category-defining credit card and banking experiences at Robinhood. Partner with product, design, data, compliance, and engineering teams to define roadmaps and deliver exceptional products at scale. This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of product innovation, scale, and reliability. **Location** Menlo Park, CA | New York, NY | Bellevue, WA (5 days/week in-office) **What You'll Do** • Lead, grow, and support a team of software engineers on Credit Cards & Banking products • Set clear direction across execution, technical design, and people development • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define roadmaps and deliver high-impact experiences • Drive architecture, execution, and operational excellence for reliable, scalable systems • Guide engineering decisions across product surfaces, backend services, and platform dependencies • Improve team health through strong planning, prioritization, feedback, and career development • Hire exceptional engineers and raise the bar on talent and craftsmanship • Maintain high standards for quality, reliability, and customer trust **What You Bring** • 8+ years software engineering experience with 2+ years managing engineering teams • Experience leading teams building and shipping customer-facing products at scale • Strong technical judgment and ability to partner on architecture and execution • Experience with complex distributed systems, backend services, or full-stack consumer products • Track record driving cross-functional initiatives from concept through launch • Experience coaching and developing engineers through feedback and career growth • Strong communication skills working with technical and non-technical partners • High bar for execution, product quality, and building strong teams **Bonus** • Fintech, banking, credit cards, payments, or regulated domain experience • Leading teams through rapid growth or platform scaling • Mobile-first or consumer app experience • Modern backend and data systems in high-availability environments **Compensation** **Zone 1** (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC): $230,000–$270,000 USD **Zone 2** (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL): $203,000–$238,000 USD **Zone 3** (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL): $180,000–$211,000 USD Plus bonus opportunities, equity, and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, lifestyle wallet, parental leave, and more.
