**ML Engineer, I - MLOps Framework** **About the Company** Torc is a leader in autonomous driving since 2007, now part of the Daimler family. We're focused on developing software for automated trucks to transform how the world moves freight. **The Team** As a Machine Learning Engineer on the ML Ops Framework & Conversion team, you'll support day-to-day operations that keep Torc's model development ecosystem running smoothly. You'll work with engineers specializing in ML and RL frameworks, embedded systems, and autonomous driving—all focused on getting models from development into the real world reliably and at scale. **What You'll Do** • Provide on-call MLOps support for model development teams, triaging and resolving pipeline issues • Debug model development workflows and identify root causes across the ML stack • Collaborate with senior engineers to improve tooling, documentation, and operational processes • Communicate with model development teams and stakeholders to resolve issues quickly **What You'll Need** • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field + 1+ years relevant experience (or equivalent) • Proficiency in Python with foundational ML framework experience (PyTorch) • Experience with MLOps tooling: CI/CD systems, monitoring, logging, and pipeline orchestration • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills • Clear communicator who works well across teams **Bonus Skills** • Large sensor data formats (MCAP, Parquet) and processing tools (PyArrow, Daft, Pandas) • Distributed compute/orchestration frameworks (Ray, Anyscale, AWS SageMaker) • Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) • Edge deployment or embedded hardware experience • Autonomous driving or robotics ML workflows **Perks** • Competitive compensation with bonus and stock options • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision premiums • 401K with 6% employer match • Flexible schedule and generous paid vacation • AD&D and Life Insurance Torc is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
