**Platform Security Engineer, DRTM / Secure Launch** **About Anthropic** Anthropicis building reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We're creating the platform security foundation for infrastructure that trains and serves frontier models. **About the Role** Own Dynamic Root of Trust for Measurement (DRTM) across our fleet: bringing it up on x86 and ARM, building attestation and isolation properties, and hardening platform security. Work at the lowest stack layers—firmware, bootloaders, kernel, and silicon features—with visibility in Linux and firmware communities. **Key Responsibilities** • DRTM adoption and integration across x86 and ARM platforms • Implement attestation services and security capabilities enabled by DRTM • Design bootloader-agnostic DRTM session solutions • Interface with vendors and OEM partners on DRTM implementations • Publish work upstream and maintain Linux Secure Launch as tboot retires • Build and harden confidential computing solutions (TDX, SEV) • Support custom OS artifacts, device drivers, and firmware work • Debug kernel and system-level issues on production hardware **Minimum Qualifications** • Deep hands-on experience with measured boot and roots of trust (DRTM, SRTM, TPM) • Strong C and assembly; deep Linux kernel and early-boot fundamentals • Record of landing non-trivial work upstream in Linux, TianoCore, GRUB, or comparable communities • Hardware/firmware boundary expertise with JTAG, serial, platform bring-up • Strong technical cross-functional leadership with vendors and OEMs • Clear written communication for specifications and technical writing • Working knowledge of NIST firmware security guidance (SP 800-193, 800-147/155) **Preferred Qualifications** • 8+ years systems security; 5+ years firmware/bootloader/OS-level security • Linux maintainership or TCG/UEFI Forum/OCP community standing • Confidential computing experience (TDX, SEV-SNP, ARM CCA) • Hardware roots of trust beyond TPM (Caliptra, OCP S.A.F.E., SPDM) • Memory-safe systems code in Rust • Firmware vulnerability research or fuzzing • AI/ML infrastructure security experience **Compensation & Logistics** 💰 $320,000–$405,000 USD annually 📍 Hybrid (25% office minimum; some roles require more) 🎓 Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required ✅ Visa sponsorship available **We encourage applications from candidates who don't meet every qualification.** We value diverse perspectives and actively work to include underrepresented groups.
