## SeatGeek — Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack (FanX AI) ### About the role SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. We’re simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry with a fan-first approach—building a new, open entertainment ecosystem where fans can easily access experiences, and teams/venues/shows can reach their audiences. You’ll join the team responsible for ensuring SeatGeek.com is fast, reliable, and delivers joy to fans. ### What you’ll do - Bring a passion for product to work with the SeatGeek design team and product managers to bring ideas to life—delighting fans with AI-powered features. - Mentor and grow web engineers across the organization while staying on the cutting edge of AI feature development and tool use. - Help increase the maturity of our front-end tech strategy and stack, with a focus on generative AI. ### What you have - **5+ years** of professional experience in frontend software engineering, with experience leading product initiatives end-to-end in recent years (preferably with user-facing AI). - **TypeScript/JavaScript:** Exceptional grasp of the language; familiarity with modern frameworks and client-side rendering techniques. (We use TypeScript, React, and Next.js, but specific knowledge isn’t required.) - **UI & Product instincts:** Strong sense of how web pages should look and feel; care about user workflows, inclusivity, and accessibility. You don’t need to be a visual designer, but you should be able to build on design team work and share opinions on how best to leverage AI. - **Architecture & performance optimization:** Comfortable digging into the stack to untangle caching inefficiencies and troubleshoot across distributed systems. Use monitoring and testing to validate whether changes improve or degrade the experience. Architect for performance and maintainability. - **Adaptability:** Comfortable working full stack in Python when needed. Some experience with design tools like Figma or Sketch is a plus.
