**Research Manager - Security Research/Audits & Compliance** **About Tenable** Tenable® is the Exposure Management company. Over 40,000 organizations globally rely on Tenable to understand and reduce cyber risk, including 65% of the Fortune 500 and 50% of the Global 2000. **Your Role** Join our Audits and Compliance team to develop software that informs customers of compliance misconfigurations in their environments. You'll develop audit checks and compliance plugins, extend coverage to new technologies, and interface with stakeholders across the organization. **Key Responsibilities** • Provide hands-on technical leadership for audit & compliance initiatives and research projects • Mentor research engineers and recruit innovative researchers • Collaborate with research teams, program management, and product organization • Externalize team capabilities through knowledge sharing and customer/partner engagement • Manage day-to-day team operations: performance reviews, HR coordination, resource management • Keep team accountable and enhance organizational culture **Required Qualifications** • 3+ years security research experience (management/team lead experience preferred) • Experience with international and remote teams • Strong communication and organizational skills • Ability to lead open-ended security research with high-level requirements • Proficiency in Python, Go, and SCAP/OVAL; code review capability • B.S. in Computer Science or related field (M.S. preferred) • Logical problem-solving and ability to work under pressure **Ideal Qualifications** • Knowledge of NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, or DISA STIGS • Experience with AI development tools, XSL transforms, REST APIs, regex, or NASL • Configuration control implementation experience • IT audit function background • Security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM) **Compensation & Benefits** US Pay Range: $145,000 – $193,666.67 USD Includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, stock purchase plan, PTO, and more. **Work Arrangement** Hybrid
