**Senior Data Engineer - Finance** **About the Role:** Join Vercel's Data team to own the reliability of financial data infrastructure. You'll build and maintain pipelines, transformations, and data models that power Finance's revenue, forecasting, and reporting systems. Work closely with Finance stakeholders to ensure data accuracy for complex subscription, usage-based billing, and Enterprise contract models. **Key Responsibilities:** • Own end-to-end pipelines for billing, usage, and contract data • Design and maintain dbt models for revenue recognition, margin, and forecasting • Diagnose and resolve data quality issues at the source • Set testing and documentation standards for Finance-grade accuracy • Build self-service datasets and semantic models for dashboards and reports • Partner with Finance leaders (FP&A, Accounting, Revenue) to translate business needs into technical solutions • Mentor engineers and establish technical standards **Requirements:** • 4+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related field • Production-grade SQL and Python skills • Hands-on experience with dbt, dimensional modeling, and ELT/ETL workflows (Airflow, Dagster, etc.) • Direct experience with Finance data (usage-based billing, revenue recognition, financial close) • Strong stakeholder partnership and communication skills • Technical ownership mindset with mentoring experience • Comfort with Finance-grade accuracy, reconciliation, and auditability standards **Benefits:** Competitive compensation ($170K–$260K base in SF), equity, healthcare, mentorship, learning opportunities, flexible time off, and WFH support. *Vercel is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all backgrounds.*
