**Staff Frontend Engineer, Market Data** **About the Role** Lead UI modernization efforts and drive the Instrument Master migration from legacy front-end patterns to modern practices. You'll shape the technical direction of the Market Data team's frontend while mentoring engineers and collaborating across the organization. **Key Responsibilities** • Evaluate UI components for modernization and research modern frameworks • Guide early- to mid-career developers through code reviews and best practices • Define UI strategy aligned with product goals • Collaborate with product managers on technical specifications • Lead adoption of modern UI practices and improve code quality • Contribute to Instrument Master UI migration • Identify opportunities for improved maintainability and implement testing strategies • Partner with backend engineers on API specifications and data contracts **What We're Looking For** • 10+ years of front-end development experience with UI modernization track record • Strong expertise in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript • Experience with Playwright, Cypress, and Jest • Proven leadership and mentoring experience • Legacy system migration experience • Familiarity with automated testing and code quality tools • Ability to leverage AI across the development lifecycle • Curiosity about financial services/investment management **Bonus Skills** • AWS/cloud-native experience • Backend-for-front-end development • Java or Kotlin experience • Financial services background **Requirements** Must be work authorized in the United States without employer sponsorship. **About Ridgeline** Front-to-back system of record for investment managers, founded by Dave Duffield.
