**Director, IT Infrastructure** **About Rocket Lab** Rocket Lab is the end-to-end space company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems that keep the world connected, protected, and expand humanity's reach to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. **The Role** Based onsite at either Long Beach, CA or Auckland, NZ facilities. Reports to the CIO and develops IT support system strategies, processes, and procedures to deliver reliable, repeatable, and scalable information technology solutions. Ensures efficient delivery of technology while maintaining high security and compliance standards. **What You'll Do** • Develop and lead a high-performing team of IT engineers globally • Lead compute, storage, network, OS, and DevOps technologies for a dynamic engineering company • Define and manage IT infrastructure priorities with business leaders • Develop industry-leading processes for managing global infrastructure services (on-premises and cloud-based) • Ensure infrastructure equipment meets security and compliance standards • Develop vendor relationships and negotiate favorable agreements • Develop strategy for 24x7 global support model • Travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time **Required Qualifications** • 12+ years' experience in IT infrastructure with increasing responsibility (Operations, Data Centers, Virtualization, O365, Networks, Support, Security) • IT leadership experience in globally diverse organizations • Experience in high tech, engineering, and/or manufacturing organizations • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field • US citizenship required (due to program requirements) **Nice to Have** • Experience in high-availability 24/7 Cloud/AWS/Azure and On-Prem environments • Technical expertise: Windows, Linux, VMWare, iSeries, Networking, SAN, Switches, Firewall, WiFi • M&A experience (due diligence, integration planning, execution) • Experience in rapid growth environments **Compensation & Benefits** Base Pay Range (CA Only): $174,800 – $233,000 USD Comprehensive benefits include company stock, Employee Stock Purchase Program (15% discount), top-tier medical/dental/vision, paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, paid parental leave, 401(k) with company match, subsidized EV charging, onsite fitness centers, and employee discounts. **Important Notes** US office candidates must be US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required authorizations per ITAR regulations.
