## Sr Analytics Engineer ### Overview The Senior Analytics Engineer leads technical work and projects that enable Home Chef to make more and better data-driven decisions. This role owns the end-to-end data “value chain,” including capturing the right data, designing data models for data consumers, and building analytics on top of that data. ### Detailed Responsibilities **Technical** - Convert business requests into effective, understandable code and frameworks—even for complex problems - Support the creation and maintenance of standard components in an end-to-end data value chain - Document internal knowledge and best practices - Lead the execution of complex projects from a technical standpoint - Implement processes, standards, and technologies to improve effectiveness and data product quality **Non-Technical** - Provide active feedback and mentoring to more junior team members - Partner with PMs to plan larger projects (resourcing and timing) - Brainstorm innovative data solutions with stakeholders - Engage with stakeholders to understand departmental needs - Ensure business teams can effectively use the data model and understand trade-offs/gotchas - Communicate project progress and gather feedback with the business ### Qualifications - Four-year degree in a related field - Multiple years of experience working with complex topics in functional areas such as data engineering, data modeling, and/or data analytics - Experience leading multi-people projects to completion - Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root causes - Ability to influence business stakeholders to drive data-driven decision making (including written communication and leading presentations/meetings) - Highly organized work management and written code - Highly proficient in **SQL** - Skilled in **Python** - Open to using AI tools day-to-day (some experience preferred) ### Perks & Benefits (Highlights) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance - Paid holidays, sick time, and vacation time - 401k program - Flexible spending accounts - Home Chef customer perk: use promo code **PEOPLE30** for $30 off your first order ### Pay Range (Illinois) - **$125,000 – $150,000 USD** (exact offer depends on factors like location, experience, skills, and internal equity) ### Inclusion & Accommodations Home Chef is committed to full inclusion and provides reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
