The **Marketplace and App Experience** domain is a core pillar of Affirm’s consumer strategy, powering the user journey across **mobile and web**. You’ll work on front-end facing, cross-team projects and collaborate with product experience teams to evolve and deliver customer-facing experiences. **What you’ll do** - Break down larger projects into tasks and deliver work in multiple phases with support from your tech lead and manager. - Partner with **product management, design, and analytics**—participate in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and help make decisions that consider risks and trade-offs. - Support team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and contributing to “keep the lights on” and on-call efforts. - Contribute to team growth by participating in activities like the interview process. **What we look for** - **1.5+ years** of software engineering experience. - Experience shipping **web apps** using declarative UI frameworks such as **React or Vue**. - Experience shipping **mobile apps** using native or cross-platform technologies such as **React Native**. - Experience designing, developing, and launching **APIs at scale** using languages such as **Kotlin or Python**. - Ability to take a business problem into a solution spanning multiple software components with clear, well-tested, extensible code. - Comfort navigating large codebases, debugging others’ code, and providing feedback via code reviews. - Ownership of your growth—proactively seeking feedback from your team, manager, and stakeholders. - Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team. - Requires equivalent practical experience or a **Bachelor’s degree** in a related field. **Compensation & location** - **Base Pay Grade:** L - **Equity Grade:** 6 - **USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT):** $165,000 – $225,000/year - **USA base pay range (all other U.S. states):** $146,000 – $206,000/year - **#LI-Remote** **Benefits highlights** - 100% subsidized medical coverage (you and your dependents), plus dental and vision - Flexible Spending Wallets (Technology, Food, Lifestyle needs, and family forming expenses) - Competitive vacation and holiday schedules - ESPP (employee stock purchase plan) Affirm is **remote-first**.
