**Staff Full Stack Engineer** **About Carbon Direct** Carbon Direct is a purpose-driven carbon management firm dedicated to helping organizations reach their climate goals. We make carbon science accessible and actionable with our end-to-end platform, operating across 4 countries with offices in Seattle, WA and Oakland, CA. **The Role** We're hiring a Staff Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale the systems our customers rely on to overcome their carbon, climate strategy, and energy challenges. You'll work across the stack and company, partnering with product, science, and business teams to put AI-augmented software to work for our clients. **What You'll Do** • Design, build, and deploy full-stack features end-to-end • Build systems from the ground up and grow the product surface area • Prototype quickly to test hypotheses and iterate on validated solutions • Harden prototypes and take them to enterprise-scale • Make sound architectural decisions with limited precedent • Ship code to production regularly, owning its quality and reliability • Shape engineering practices and technical direction as a senior voice • Support developer experience for AI-empowered contributors **What We're Looking For** • Significant professional experience as a full-stack engineer across front-end, back-end, databases, and deployment • Track record of building systems from scratch and operating them at scale • Experience using agentic engineering tools and deploying AI-augmented systems to production • Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, able to scope problems and ship viable solutions • Strong product instincts and commercial awareness • Excellent collaboration skills with design, product, science, and business teams • Experience in carbon, climate, or energy is a strong plus **Bonus Points** • Experience in regulated environments (ISO 27001, SOC 2) • Experience building developer platforms or internal tooling **Compensation & Benefits** 💰 $184,000–$225,000/year 🏥 Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 🏖️ Flexible vacation + 10 company holidays + winter break 👨👩👧 16 weeks fully paid parental/family leave 🏠 Remote-friendly culture with annual retreats 💻 Work-from-home setup reimbursement and monthly stipend **Equal Opportunity Employer** Carbon Direct does not discriminate based on race, color, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other occupationally irrelevant criteria.
