**Join us in building the future of finance.** Robinhood is seeking a **Senior Software Engineer** to join the **Enterprise Build** team—an elite, high-leverage group that turns the company’s best **AI-built prototypes** into **enterprise-grade services**. This team helps ensure speed and safety aren’t in tension in a heavily regulated industry. You’ll assess prototypes, decide what survives, and rebuild it to meet production standards from the first commit. --- ### **About the role** - **AI-multiplied ownership:** agents handle first-pass assessment, porting, and scaffolding; you review, harden, and decide. - **Prototype → production:** prototypes earn real usage in an experimental sandbox and arrive through a single front door. - **Enterprise-grade by default:** SSO, audit logging, secrets management, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and security review baked in. - **Work with business partners:** embedded with sponsoring teams (Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance) to translate real workflows into software people adopt. --- ### **What you’ll do** - Assess “vibe-coded” prototypes and make the technical call: **harden, rebuild, or redirect**—then own the outcome end-to-end. - Design, build, and ship services on Robinhood’s enterprise platforms with secure, reliable engineering standards. - Build **AI-natively**: drive agents through assessment/porting/test scaffolding; ship **MCP servers**, sub-agents, and agent skills as production artifacts when appropriate. - Translate real workflows with sponsoring business units into software. - Provide clean operational handoffs: **runbooks, evals, and dashboards**. - Establish “paved patterns” with the Enterprise Platforms team so repeated solutions become platform capabilities. - Raise the bar on AI-era engineering quality, including rigorous review of AI-generated code. --- ### **What we’re looking for** - **5+ years** building and running production backend or full-stack systems; proven ability to deliver high-ambiguity projects end-to-end. - Strong **cloud depth** (GCP preferred): containerized services, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code; strong focus on serverless. - **AI-native development**: daily fluency with agentic coding tools; experience building LLM-powered apps/agentic workflows; judgment to review, harden, and productionize AI-generated code. - Product sense and scoping discipline: identify the ~20% worth keeping, say no to the rest, and finish engagements. - Exceptional communication with non-engineers; comfortable embedded with finance/legal/HR partners. - Experience in **highly regulated industries** (especially finance/fintech) strongly preferred. --- ### **Location / schedule** - Based in **Menlo Park, CA** - **In-person attendance at least 3 days per week** --- ### **What we offer** - Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career. - Performance-driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact; bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching. - Best-in-class benefits, including **100% paid health insurance** for employees (with **90% coverage** for dependents). - Lifestyle wallet (flexible benefits spending for wellness, learning, and more). - Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits. - Time off to recharge (company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more). - Exceptional office experience (catered meals, events, comfortable workspaces). --- ### **Pay transparency (base pay rang
