About this role
## About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems—safe and beneficial for users and society. ## About the role Corporate Security protects the environment Anthropic’s people work in every day: laptops and phones, identities, collaboration tools, and company data. You’ll drive significant parts of this work end to end—setting technical direction, shipping tooling, and balancing strong controls with a great day-to-day employee experience. This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role. ## Key responsibilities - Drive endpoint hardening across **macOS, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS** (device management configuration, application allowlisting, patching, and browser policy), favoring controls that are **versioned, reviewable, and repeatable**. - Extend **device-trust** and **zero-trust** access so company systems are reachable from managed devices bound to the right person with the right level of access. - Build automation and integrations to scale the team: **joiner/mover/leaver** automation, exception/expiry workflows, posture-driven policy, and **Claude-assisted triage** of review queues. - Lead **SaaS and identity governance**, including third-party OAuth grants, delegated admin access, chat-platform apps, browser extensions, and software security reviews—turning recurring decisions into policy and tooling. - Partner across Security, IT, and Engineering on telemetry, detections, and shared standards—helping define how a company running increasingly on AI agents does so securely and at scale. ## Minimum qualifications - Hands-on endpoint security engineering on **macOS, Windows, Linux, or ChromeOS** (e.g., MDM and declarative device management, application allowlisting/binary authorization, system extensions/endpoint security frameworks). - Proficiency in **Python** and scripting; architect and build integrations, automation, and internal tooling; able to write detections when needed. - Depth in **identity and access management**, **SaaS security**, and **zero-trust access**. - Threat-modeling judgment to scope the right problems, define “done,” and drive to completion. - Care for Anthropic’s mission and the role corporate security plays in it. ## Preferred qualifications - Experience defining the scope and choosing tooling for a security program (not inheriting it). - Experience shipping enforcement changes to large populations (data-driven rollout, staging, alternative workflows, and migration ahead of enforcement). - Endpoint depth across more than one platform with judgment to harden for real threats. - Mobile security experience across managed and BYOD contexts (including higher-risk settings like international travel). - Experience bringing security governance to modern SaaS environments (third-party integrations, delegated access, and long-tail internal/AI-generated apps) without slowing decisions. - **Configuration-as-code / infrastructure-as-code / CI/CD** applied to corporate infrastructure. - LLM-assisted security tooling you built that materially expanded what the team could cover. - Track record of getting controls adopted through influence and partnership. ## Compensation **Annual Salary:** **$320,000 – $405,000 USD** ## Logistics - **Minimum education:** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience - **Required field of study:** Field relevant to the role (via coursework, training, or professional experience) - **Minimu
