**Sr. Software Engineer — WelbeHealth** At WelbeHealth, we serve our communities’ most vulnerable seniors through shared intention, pioneering spirit, and the courage to love. ## Role Overview Under the supervision of Architecture and Development Management, the Senior Software Engineer partners with business stakeholders, solution architects, data architects, and IT to identify and define business needs that require technology solutions. You’ll be accountable for the development, quality assurance, implementation, and maintenance of solution components that fulfill prioritized business use cases. You’ll leverage the agile lifecycle for solutions deployment across projects, objectively assess quality and production readiness, and collaborate regularly with Solutions Architecture, Security Service, Application Management, Infrastructure Management, and Customer Service teams. ## What Makes This Role Different - Combines hands-on software engineering with the opportunity to modernize and scale technology within a growing healthcare organization. - Provides end-to-end ownership across the software development lifecycle—from requirements discovery and architecture/design through development, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization. ## Day-to-Day Responsibilities - Follow WelbeHealth Agile DevOps processes, tools, and environments for requirements capture, architecture/design, construction, quality assurance, version control, production deployment, troubleshooting, and change management. - Ensure features meet security and data integrity requirements aligned to PCI and HIPAA compliance; participate in requirements discovery and usability sessions with end users, product owners, and usability designers. - Ensure unit, functional, and automated testing coverage prior to launch; perform peer coding and design reviews. - Develop design patterns and standards; rewrite and re-engineer custom legacy applications using the Microsoft tech stack. - Create documentation for current software state and historical process. - Participate in refactoring and new technology efforts, including researching and communicating new design patterns for team adoption. - Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements, including monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting per production DevOps procedures. ## Job Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or equivalent experience (relevant professional experience may be substituted). - One (1) or more Microsoft solutions certifications preferred in solutions architecture. - Minimum 10 years of object-oriented software development and maintenance using languages such as C#, .NET Core, Razor Pages; React.js UI experience. - Experience with NoSQL (Azure Cosmos DB), REST APIs, and Azure Cloud. - Understanding of implementing solutions with multiple data sources. - Experience with Azure API Apps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and REST services. - Experience writing manual and/or automated test cases using NUnit. - Understanding of Azure Data Factory (plus). - Understanding of Release Management principles; experience in structured release/deployment environments preferred. ## What You’ll Bring Deep expertise in object-oriented development, Microsoft technologies, Azure cloud services, APIs, modern application design, and automated testing—plus the collaboration skills to work effectively across architecture, security, infra
