## Senior Solution Engineer (Guidewire) ### Overview Join a recognized team focused on delivering high-quality solutions and continuous improvement. The Senior Solution Engineer documents and supports end-to-end business flow implementations within a designated domain—covering technical analysis, solution design, agile execution, release coordination, and production support. ### Responsibilities - Develop and maintain documentation/knowledgebase for complete business flow implementations (including dependencies on other systems and vendors) - Support technical analysis and solution design across applications in the domain - Build subject matter expertise in the assigned solution space - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share knowledge, clarify requirements, review/validate deliverables, and perform basic testing - Manage agile processes: sprints, retrospectives, task sequencing, and release management - Identify and address dependencies with other MTS teams, business stakeholders, and vendors - Improve engineering efficiency using automation and AI - Perform configuration and scripting; develop monitoring dashboards and metric/log monitoring - Identify and document data structures, data mapping, integration specs, component interactions, and dependencies - Support defect analysis and remediation, including production support and/or handoffs ### Qualifications **Education** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field - (Or equivalent education/experience) **Experience** - 5+ years in insurance industry IT - 3+ years in technical analysis and solutioning - 2+ years in technical documentation **Preferred / Relevant Experience** - Guidewire Policy Center (test & production environment configuration) - Troubleshooting & root cause analysis for Policy Center integration issues - Policy Center data model & entity relationships - SQL scripts & data analysis; performance bottleneck identification - Gosu scripting for policy corrections and automation - CI/CD automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and release management - Deployment/rollback planning - Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS) - Application monitoring & log analysis (AppDynamics, Grafana) - Linux/UNIX shell scripting - APIs, data structures (XML/JSON), databases, and system logs - Basic OOP, web apps, and microservices - Experience leading/mentoring solution engineers ### Perks & Benefits (Highlights) - Competitive compensation and bonus potential - Flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S. for most positions - Paid time off (vacation, sick time, 9 paid company holidays, volunteer hours) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance - 401(k) with company match - Education assistance and professional/personal development opportunities - Health and wellbeing resources, including mental wellbeing therapy/coaching ### Location / Interview Note - An in-person interview may be required during the hiring process. ### Pay Range - **CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA:** $94,458 to $179,048 - **NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME:** $85,871 to $162,771 - **UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV:** $77,328 to $146,494 - **Typical hiring range in CA:** $123,078 to $170,941 *Mercury Insurance is an equal opportunity employer.*
