**Sr. PDK Engineer (Starlink/Akoustis)** **About the Role** Join the Starlink/Akoustis Filter Design Team as a Senior PDK Software Engineer. Lead development of next-generation Process Design Kits (PDKs), drive software innovation and AI-enabled automation, and build scalable design infrastructure. Partner with RF designers, process engineers, software developers, manufacturing engineers, and automation teams to modernize the XBAW filter design flow. **Key Responsibilities** • Design, develop, and maintain PDKs supporting RF filter design flows across EDA tools (Cadence AWR, ADS, HFSS) • Architect scalable software frameworks for PDK generation, validation, deployment, and regression testing • Develop technology files, PCells, device models, layouts, DRC/LVS rule decks, and EM simulation setups • Build AI-assisted tools and intelligent automation workflows to automate design tasks and improve productivity • Develop software applications, APIs, and web-based dashboards for process monitoring and design analytics • Collaborate with RF designers to identify bottlenecks and implement AI-powered design assistants • Translate Design Rule Manuals into robust, automated PDK implementations with validation suites • Evaluate and deploy emerging AI technologies including LLMs for design optimization **Basic Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related discipline • 5+ years in EDA, PDK development, software engineering, or RF/microwave design • 3+ years object-oriented programming experience **Preferred Skills** • Master's degree in EE, CE, CS, or software engineering • Advanced Python and C++ programming • PCells, layout generators, technology files, DRC/LVS experience • Microwave, RF, MEMS, or XBAW filter technology experience • HFSS and electromagnetic simulation tools • Desktop applications, APIs, and scalable engineering software platforms • Software architecture, design patterns, Git, CI/CD pipelines • Machine learning/AI techniques applied to engineering workflows • Scientific computing libraries (Jupyter, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn) • PDK integration, validation, and release management • Semiconductor process technologies and physical verification • Piezoelectric devices, MEMS, SAW, BAW, or XBAW technologies • Multiphysics simulation and thermal modeling **Additional Requirements** • Willing to work long hours and weekends as needed • Must work onsite (remote work not considered) • ITAR compliance: Must be U.S. citizen, national, green card holder, refugee, or asylee **Equal Opportunity Employer** | For accommodations, contact EEOCompliance@spacex.com
