The platform helps protect customers from cyberattacks and data loss by securely connecting users, devices, and applications anywhere. **Role** Remote within the United States (hybrid preference: San Jose, CA). Reporting to the Manager, IT Cloud Operations in the Cloud Platform Engineering department. In this role, you’ll design and ship automation that provisions cloud environments, enforces security baselines, and integrates AI-assisted tooling and agentic workflows to accelerate delivery across AWS, GCP, and Azure. **What you’ll do (Role Expectations)** - Build and extend **Day 1 automation**: infrastructure provisioning pipelines, account vending, golden repo templates, and CI/CD components - Build and extend **Day 2 automation**: lifecycle management, upgrade pipelines, dependency scanning, drift detection, and automated remediation workflows - Write and maintain **Terraform modules**, **GitLab CI/CD components**, and **Python automation** to establish the platform’s paved road - Integrate **AI and agentic tooling** into operational workflows to reduce manual toil and improve operational consistency - Collaborate with **Security, IAM, Network, and FinOps** teams to translate cross-functional requirements into automated guardrails **Who you are (Success Profile)** - Thrive in ambiguity; build the path as you go and turn dynamic environments into meaningful outcomes - Act like an owner; bias for action while moving between strategy and hands-on execution - Enjoy problem-solving; seek hard challenges for maximum impact - High-trust collaborator; give and receive feedback with clarity, respect, and candor - A learner with a growth mindset; actively seek feedback to develop yourself and support your team **What we’re looking for (Minimum Qualifications)** - Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a history of integrating new technologies to enhance workflows and problem-solving - **5+ years** building and operating **multi-cloud infrastructure at scale** across major cloud platforms - Hands-on expertise with **Terraform** (module design, state management, CI-driven workflows) - Proficiency in **Python, Bash, or equivalent** scripting/automation - Working knowledge of **CI/CD pipeline design** and **Kubernetes operations** - Understanding of **identity federation**, **secrets management**, and **least-privilege** security patterns **What will make you stand out (Preferred Qualifications)** - Experience with multi-account governance tooling (e.g., **AWS Control Tower**, Organizations, **SCPs**, **RCPs**) - Experience with **GitOps** patterns and automated infrastructure lifecycle tooling (e.g., **Renovate**, **Dependabot**, **ArgoCD**) - Experience with **MLOps** frameworks (e.g., **Kubeflow**, **MLflow**) and model services (e.g., **Bedrock**, **SageMaker**, **Vertex AI**, **Gemini Enterprise**) **Location / Tags** - #LI-Remote #LI-YC2 **Compensation (Pay Transparency)** - **Base Pay Range:** **$140,000 — $175,000 USD** (excludes commission/bonus/equity if applicable + benefits) **Benefits (Highlights)** - Various health plans - Time off plans (vacation and sick time) - Parental leave options - Retirement options - Education reimbursement - In-office perks, and more Zscaler is an equal opportunity em
