**Senior Software Engineer, Privacy Infrastructure** Roblox is building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience to life—while reimagining how people come together from anywhere in the world and on any device. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Privacy Infrastructure team, you’ll design and build large-scale systems across Roblox’s platform and data ecosystem. ## You Will - Design, build, and scale reliable infrastructure and platform solutions that protect user data and support the needs of a global platform. - Develop foundational capabilities for emerging technologies, including agentic AI workflows, with a focus on safe and responsible data access. - Partner with engineering teams across Roblox to integrate scalable data protection capabilities into their systems and development workflows. - Drive technical strategy and architecture for complex, cross-cutting challenges spanning data, infrastructure, privacy, and security. ## You Have - 7+ years of proven experience as a software engineer. - Expertise in **Python** or **Golang**. - Strong understanding of system design, reliability, scalability, and data management principles. - Interest in applying your engineering expertise to data protection and privacy challenges (prior domain experience is a plus, but not required). ## You Are - **Collaborative:** You thrive in a team environment and work well with cross-functional partners. - **Ambitious:** You are motivated to build flawless, secure experiences for millions of users. - **Comfortable with Ambiguity:** You can navigate evolving requirements, make sound technical decisions, and create clarity in complex problem spaces. ## Pay Transparency (HQ: San Mateo, CA) - **Annual Salary Range:** **$287,840 – $345,620 USD** - Actual base pay depends on job-related factors (e.g., background, training, experience, location, business needs, and market demand). Equity compensation and benefits are also available. ## Work Location / Schedule - Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (optional presence on Monday and Friday), unless otherwise noted.
