**Renewed Vision — Windows Engineering Manager** For more than 25 years, Renewed Vision has built production software for live events. Our products—including **ProPresenter**—power worship services, broadcasts, corporate events, and sports venues around the world. We’re a mostly remote team, with our home office just outside Atlanta, Georgia. --- ## The Role The **Windows team** builds **ProPresenter on Windows**, a desktop application that runs live production for customers worldwide. When our software is live, there’s no second take—it’s running in front of a live audience. This team sits at the cross-section of **product, engineering, QA, and the shared native core** that powers ProPresenter across platforms. You’ll play a highly cross-functional role, partnering with engineering teams, product, design, QA, and support to ensure what the team ships is both **functionally** and **operationally** excellent. We’re looking for an engineering leader to guide the team as it builds that experience. You’re technically credible in **C#/.NET desktop development**, but your primary craft is **leadership**: you cultivate collaboration, mentor engineers across experience levels, and think strategically about architecture and delivery decisions that unlock new product capabilities. You also keep the team close to the people who depend on it—especially the operator at the desk on show night—and lead with **humility, honesty, and service**. --- ## What You’ll Do ### People - Own hiring, coaching, growth, and performance for the Windows team. - Hold regular 1:1s, conduct performance reviews, and build individual growth plans aligned to the engineering career framework. - Participate actively in recruiting (sourcing/screening through closing). - Address performance issues directly and early—with honesty and care. ### Team Health - Be accountable for delivery and culture. - Run team rituals: standups, sprint planning, and retros. - Monitor morale and address friction before it becomes a problem. - Ensure the team is genuinely improving as a unit—not just shipping. ### Delivery - Keep the team’s work on track and manage dependencies within the team. - Communicate blockers, risks, and progress proactively so stakeholders stay informed. - Partner with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA, support) on planning and execution. - Bring a product mindset and make product calls when needed to keep momentum. ### Velocity & Impact - Own throughput, pace, and predictability; remove process friction, unclear priorities, and technical drag. - Push for leverage—changes that move the product and business in the right direction (not just ticket count). - Use tools available to raise the ceiling on what the team can accomplish (including **AI-assisted development**), while keeping quality and long-term maintainability high. - Continuously improve how the team works: evaluate tooling/workflows, spread what works, retire what doesn’t. - Challenge the team to take on bigger problems and measure success by outcomes, not effort. ### Technical Judgment - Exercise technical judgment with the team’s technical leads.
