## Staff Software Engineer — Braze At Braze, we’re looking for people who are approachable, kind, and deeply passionate—setting high standards, championing teamwork, and creating work-life harmony as we grow globally with greater equity and opportunity. ### What you’ll do As a **Staff Engineer** on Braze’s **AI Decisioning Experience** team, you’ll help shape the future of our **AI decisioning** (reinforcement learning-based personalization) solutions. You’ll lead high-impact initiatives, mentor engineers, and partner cross-functionally to deliver excellent product experiences. **Responsibilities include:** - Leading high-impact initiatives across **Decisioning Studio** (AI Decisioning product line) for both **DS Go** (self-serve) and **DS Pro** (managed) tiers—covering **agent setup, creative, and launch workflows**, plus the **reporting** that helps marketers understand and trust results, and the **services** connecting UX to ML pipelines. - Collaborating with **Product, Design, and ML engineering** to turn a fast-moving AI roadmap into intuitive, reliable software. - Building the full stack of these experiences—from **dashboard UI** down to **APIs and services** that connect the Braze platform to ML pipelines. - Leading efforts in **web application architecture** to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance. - Influencing **product strategy and roadmap** through technical insights and innovation in user experience. - **Mentoring** engineers and fostering a high-performance engineering culture. - Supporting teams implementing Braze’s AI solutions to drive **customer success** and effective collaboration. ### Who you are - **7+ years** of relevant experience with a strong track record of delivering impact. - Comfortable working across the full stack—designing **data models**, **APIs**, and **background jobs**, and owning a product surface end to end. - Strong frontend development skills (**TypeScript, React**; **Vue** is a plus) with a high bar for polished, intuitive user experiences.
