Intercom is our fastest-growing product line, delivering rich, low-latency multimodal interactions (video, audio, access control) at the edge. You'll have significant ownership over architectural direction and work alongside firmware, mobile, and frontend engineers. **What You Bring** • 7+ years of backend software engineering experience • 4+ years at a rapidly growing startup or innovative company • Proven ability to drive technical direction and lead engineers • Experience architecting scalable, latency-sensitive systems • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills • Track record of shipping significant products end-to-end • Deep expertise with relational databases (Postgres preferred) • Proficiency in Python or GoLang • Kubernetes experience (a plus) **Who You Are** • Excited by new products and startups • Focused on delivering best-in-class products and experiences • Able to drive incomplete ideas to completion • BS or graduate degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related field **Compensation & Benefits** **Salary:** $175,000–$300,000 USD **Benefits Include:** • 100% employee health insurance premiums; 80% family premiums • Medical, vision, dental coverage nationwide • HSA/FSA with employer contributions • Expanded mental health support • Paid parental leave & fertility benefits • Flexible PTO and paid holidays • Professional development stipend • Daily healthy lunches, wellness benefits, commuter benefits **Additional Info** • Visa sponsorship available • Equal Opportunity Employer
