You’ll help build a content knowledge platform that provides insights to downstream systems like **Search, Recommendations, Ads, and Voice** to shape customer experiences. --- ### **About the Role** You’ll build best-in-class machine learning products by integrating **Generative AI capabilities** and **Vision Models** to enrich content quality and user engagement. This role is for a seasoned ML practitioner and a strong organizational leader—acting as the bridge between deep AI research and fast-paced product delivery. If you can create a **3-year vision** for content discovery and translate it into **2-week shipping cycles**, this is your team. --- ### **What You’ll Be Doing** - **Vision & Strategy:** Define the ML roadmap for the Content Platform - **Technical Leadership:** Guide model architecture and **MLOps** infrastructure so models are scalable and production-ready - **Cross-Functional Execution:** Partner with Product, Engineering, and Content Strategy to align ML initiatives with business goals - **Delivery:** Drive incremental delivery—balance long-term R&D with measurable production improvements --- ### **We’re Excited If You Have** - **10+ years** total experience in software/ML engineering - **MS or BS** in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field - Deep theoretical and practical understanding of **Machine Learning** - Understanding of the streaming business and how ML impacts the bottom line - Ability to explain complex models to non-technical executives and debate architecture with engineers - Proven track record deploying large-scale ML models into production - Experience with modern ML stacks (e.g., **LLMs, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark**, and cloud-native MLOps tools) --- ### **Hybrid Working (Roku approach)** Teams generally work **in the office Monday–Thursday**. **Fridays are flexible for remote work**, unless your role or assigned office location requires five days/week attendance. --- ### **Compensation (California Only)** Estimated annual base salary: **$141,300 – $360,700**. Final compensation depends on candidate factors including skill set, certifications, and location.
