**Software Engineer, Starlink Enterprise Products (Space Lasers)** **About the Role** Join SpaceX's Enterprise Products Software team to own software for bring-up and operation of new Starlink products including: • Plaser - space laser product connecting third-party vehicles to Starlink • Community Gateway - terrestrial very high throughput parabolic antenna • Starlink Aviation - enabling global passenger connectivity You'll drive features across embedded applications, backend systems, and user interfaces. No prior aerospace experience required. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant devices for millions of users • Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews • Identify improvements to product experience, reliability, and efficiency • Develop prototypes and manage experiments for key design concepts • Write quality Linux-based software for common processors and microcontrollers • Develop hardware-in-the-loop testbeds and test cases **Basic Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM discipline • 1+ year professional software engineering experience (internships acceptable) **Preferred Skills** • Deep technical understanding and problem-solving ability • Embedded systems experience • Experience launching/operating consumer or enterprise products • Linux networking stack knowledge • Strong communication skills • Ability to work in dynamic, changing environments **Compensation** Level 1: $125,000 - $165,000 Level 2: $145,000 - $200,000 Comprehensive benefits including medical/vision/dental, 401(k), stock options, paid vacation, and more. **ITAR Requirements** Applicant must be U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from U.S. Department of State.
