**Sr. Software Engineer** **About the Role** Join SpaceX's application software team—the central nervous system of the company. We create mission-critical applications that accelerate launch vehicle production, enable Starlink's global expansion, and support the world's largest satellite constellation. **What You'll Do** • Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX • Create new applications that improve SpaceX operations • Build prototypes to prove out key design concepts • Own all aspects of software engineering and product development • Deep dive into user problems to find efficient solutions • Collaborate on architecture, design, and code reviews **Basic Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline + 5+ years professional software development experience • OR 7+ years professional software development experience without degree • 3+ years professional full stack development experience **Preferred Skills** • Programming in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar object-oriented languages • 1+ years building single page web applications • Experience with version control and continuous integration **Why Join Us** Aerospace experience not required—we seek smart, motivated, collaborative engineers who love solving problems and want to impact an inspiring mission.
