About this role
**Hudson River Trading (HRT)** is seeking an **Endpoint Engineer (macOS)** to join our Enterprise Technology team. In this role, you’ll serve as a **macOS subject matter expert** in a complex, highly technical environment—helping solve HRT-specific endpoint challenges and improving the day-to-day experience for users across the firm. --- ## Responsibilities - Create and maintain a best-in-class end user computing experience - Troubleshoot day-to-day issues hands-on; act as the escalation point for **macOS engineering, security, and deployment** issues across HRT - Investigate recurring problems, deliver long-term solutions to prevent repeat issues, and maintain clear documentation - Research, test, and implement best practices for HRT’s technical stack and processes - Educate technical and non-technical end users on best practices; improve adoption of effective workflows and tools --- ## Qualifications - Deep knowledge and experience with **macOS** - Experience provisioning, deploying, and maintaining macOS endpoints using **Apple Business (AB)** and **MDM** (e.g., **Jamf Pro**, **Workspace ONE**, **Microsoft Intune**) - Experience with macOS packaging and deployment tools such as **AutoPkg** and **Munki** - Proficiency with **Bash** or **Python** - Familiarity with enterprise networking (e.g., **802.1X**, **Wi‑Fi**, **IPv4**) - Experience working with collaboration tools, conferencing systems, remote IT tools, and ticketing systems - Collaborative, can-do mindset and willingness to support others - Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical language; translate information into clear documentation and requirements - Ability to empathize with end users and craft solutions quickly under pressure - **Nice to have:** experience with **osquery**, **Salt**, or **iOS management** --- ## Compensation & Benefits - Estimated base salary range: **$150,000–$225,000 USD/year** (or local equivalent) - Discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package --- ## Culture (HRT) HRT brings a scientific approach to trading financial products and has built one of the world’s most sophisticated computing environments for research and development.
