**Staff Software Engineer, Platform Ecosystem** **About Anthropic** Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems—safe and beneficial for users and society. **About the role** Join the Platform Ecosystem team within Anthropic’s Platform organization. Platform Ecosystem empowers the next big industries to build on Claude and creates the commercial rails that help businesses thrive on the platform. This is a founding team role where you’ll accelerate AI transformation across highly impactful, mission-driven sectors. You’ll lead 0→1 efforts from ideation through delivery, partner closely with product, design, research, and forward-deployed engineers, and apply strong product/business sense to shape strategy in new domains. You should be comfortable moving across different stacks and going deep when needed to break through ambiguity and ship high-quality products. **What you’ll do** - **Verticals:** Build for next API markets (e.g., Life Sciences & Healthcare). Work with cross-functional partners to understand what these industries need from Claude, and deliver capabilities, integrations, and workflows that enable safe, scalable adoption. - **Monetization:** Build the commercial rails and controls that let the platform do business with anyone, anywhere. Design and operate systems that help businesses price, package, and sell what they build—turning Claude from a cost line into a revenue line. **You might be a good fit if you:** - Have **8+ years** of practical experience as a backend or platform engineer, with some frontend experience - Have strong product sense and technical depth; collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to ideate and execute strategy in new domains - Are familiar with using AI tools as part of the software development process - Take a product-focused approach to platform work (robust, scalable, easy to use) - Take full ownership end-to-end (design → build → deployment → operations → iteration) - Can navigate ambiguity and make sound technical decisions independently (ideally across both 0→1 and more mature environments) - Care about building systems other engineers and businesses love to use **Deadline to apply** None.
