AI Operations Engineer, Partnerships
Anthropic · San Francisco, CA
About this role
**AI Operations Engineer, Partnerships** **About Anthropic** Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems—safe and beneficial for users and society. **About the role** Anthropic’s Partner Experience team is building an AI-native operating model. You’ll design, build, and run agentic workflows on top of partner-facing systems (partner portal, CRM workflows, enablement/certification platforms, and data trackers). This is a **builder role**: ship working automations weekly, own them in production, and expand what the team can do without adding headcount. **Key responsibilities** - Design and build **agentic workflows** (Claude, MCP connectors, API integrations) to automate partner experience operations: application triage, onboarding, deal registration, certification tracking, partner communications, and reporting. - Partner with the systems lead to integrate workflows with the partner portal, CRM, enablement stack, finance systems, and databases—**consuming and writing back to systems of record** (no shadow processes). - Turn recurring manual work into **reliable, monitored automations**: define workflows, build, test against real cases, add guardrails and human-in-the-loop checkpoints for higher-risk decisions, and document how they run. - Own the **operational health** of what you ship: error handling, edge cases, escalation paths, and iteration when partner processes change. - Prototype fast with the team: work with partner managers to identify friction points and deliver a working v1 in days (not quarters). - Establish reusable patterns (skills, prompts, connectors, playbooks) so new workflows are faster to build, and help the broader team self-serve on simpler ones. **Minimum qualifications** - Hands-on experience building with **LLMs and agentic tooling**: prompt/workflow design, tool/function calling, MCP (or comparable integration frameworks), and evaluating agent output quality. - Experience working across **APIs and business systems** (e.g., Salesforce, PRM/partner portals, LMS/certification platforms, spreadsheets, Slack, email) and scripting integrations in **Python or JavaScript**. - Strong judgment about **automation risk** (what agents can own vs. where humans must checkpoint) and designing for graceful failure. - Process instincts: redesign messy manual workflows by finding the real bottleneck. - Clear written communication and documentation. **Preferred qualifications** - 5+ years in operations engineering, solutions engineering, business systems, RevOps, or a similar build-heavy role (ideally supporting partner/sales/customer success). - Partner/channel operations experience (deal registration, MDF/co-sell programs, partner tiering, certification pipelines). - Experience shipping internal AI tools/automations that are still running in production. - Familiarity with the **Claude API / Claude Code / agent frameworks**; custom MCP servers are a plus. **Compensation (Annual Salary)** $215,000 — $300,000 USD **Logistics** - **Minimum education:** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/training/experience. - **Required field of study:** Relevant to the role via coursework, training, or professional experience. - **Location-based hybrid policy:** Expect to be in an office at least **25%** of the time (some roles may require more). - **Visa sponsorship:** Available; not guaranteed for every role/candidate, but reasonable efforts are made if an offer is made. - **App
