**Finance Systems Engineer (Finance & Strategy / FP&A Systems)** **About Anthropic** Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems—safe and beneficial for users and society. **About the Role** Anthropic is seeking a **Finance & Strategy (FP&A) Systems Engineer** to join the **Finance Systems** team. You’ll build and maintain platforms that support core **Financial Planning, Forecasting, and Analytics** processes. You’ll work hands-on with **EPM platforms** (e.g., **Anaplan, Pigment**) and **data platforms** (e.g., **BigQuery**), writing integrations, tooling, and production code that connect to Anthropic’s **ERP** and **data warehouse** systems. You’ll partner with **Corporate Finance & Strategy stakeholders** to translate business requirements into technical solutions, maintain **data integrity**, and drive continuous improvements to financial systems infrastructure. You’ll also manage day-to-day finance system operations, support critical monthly forecasting cycles, and take on larger projects over time (including automation of FP&A work using **Claude**). --- ## Responsibilities ### Systems Administration and Support - Serve as a primary system administrator for the financial planning platform (**Pigment**), maintaining health and performance - Manage finance applications, data, **user access & security**, configurations, and version management for governance - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users ### System Development and Enhancement - Design, build, and maintain financial models and workflows using in-house tools and EPM platforms (e.g., **Pigment**) - Develop and maintain secure dataflows and **REST API** integrations connecting FP&A platforms and the data warehouse with enterprise systems (e.g., **Workday Financials**, **Salesforce CRM**) - Build **SQL-based data models**, **ETL pipelines**, and reporting infrastructure for financial close, forecasting, and BI ### Business Partnership and Process Improvement - Partner with **FP&A, Accounting, and other Finance teams** to understand business problems and build solutions (including using AI tools) - Support Monthly Forecast, Annual & Long Range planning, Workforce planning, OPEX forecasting, and Balance Sheet & Cash flow forecasting - Identify and implement process and finance platform improvements - Participate in testing/validation of system changes to ensure accuracy and reliability - Assist with training and onboarding new system users ### Data Management and Quality - Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems - Develop and maintain data validation rules and quality checks - Troubleshoot data discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve issues - Support data migration and transformation activities as needed --- ## Minimum Qualifications - **8+ years** of experience in FP&A systems (EPM platforms and finance data warehouse) focused on financial planning, forecasting, and analysis - Hands-on experience administering and developing solutions in enterprise planning platforms (e.g., **Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning**, or similar) - Strong engineering skills including advanced **SQL** and data modeling; experience building integrations and data pipelines - Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and system designs - Strong understanding of FP&A processes, financial reporting, and accounting principles --- ## Preferred Qualifications - Techno-fun
