**Beacon Biosignals — Senior Mobile App Engineer (React Native / iOS / Android)** Beacon Biosignals is transforming precision medicine for the brain—supporting Life Sciences partners with an at-home EEG platform for clinical development, and building a comprehensive at-home precision diagnostics platform that combines EEG and cardiopulmonary signals for reimbursable assessments. As a **Senior Mobile App Engineer**, you’ll build cross-platform apps that interface with EEG headbands and other wearables to capture high-fidelity data and deliver seamless experiences for patients and clinicians. You’ll help create tools that unlock insights into neurological, psychiatric, and sleep disorders. **Location / Work model** - Robust asynchronous remote work - In-person office hubs in **Boston** and **New York** - Candidates considered anywhere in the **US Eastern time zone** --- ## What success looks like As part of our small, mission-driven Mobile Apps Team, you will: - Develop **React Native** mobile applications and **native iOS/Android BLE device SDKs** - Design and implement **UX workflows** for clinical trial participants and at-home diagnostic patients - Own **user experience, app performance, reliability, and observability** for the apps and features you build - Partner with **Devices**, other **Platform** teams, and **product designers** to deliver user-centric capabilities integrated with Beacon’s ecosystem - Help shape the **roadmap** and **technical direction** of our mobile platform **In your first 3–6 months, you might:** - Build an in-app feature to validate **EEG signal quality** before data capture - Improve **BLE pairing and reconnection reliability** across iOS and Android - Streamline **onboarding** for new patients and trial participants - Deploy features to help **Clinical Operations** track compliance --- ## What you will bring You’ll be a great fit if you have: - **8+ years** of mobile development experience (native iOS/Android and/or React Native) - Experience with **BLE**, sensor integration, or **health data streams** - A **product mindset** with strong attention to **UX**, edge cases, and performance - Familiarity with the tech stack: **TypeScript, React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Expo, GitHub** - Strong communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative, async environment **Bonus points if you’ve:** - Worked with **medical devices**, **EEG**, or **wearables** - Integrated **BLE peripheral devices** into iOS and/or Android apps - Written native code extensively for either **iOS or Android** in addition to React Native - Worked on apps for **clinical trials**, patients, or other regulated environments - Contributed to **open source** mobile or BLE projects --- ## Compensation - Salary range: **$170,000 – $190,000** - Base salary is one component of total compensation (includes **equity, PTO, and other benefits**) --- At Beacon, cultural and scientific impact is driven by people who lead by example—showing curiosity, simplicity, composability, self-service mindset, and deep empathy for colleagues, stakeholders, users, and patients.
