## Unix & Fleet Support — Austin, TX (Onsite) **Full-Time | Contract** **Pay:** $20.00–$24.00/hr ### Help keep autonomous vehicles moving Do you enjoy solving technical problems, working with technology, and supporting a fast-paced operations team? We’re looking for a **Unix Support Specialist** to support the daily operations of an **autonomous vehicle fleet**—combining troubleshooting, real-time support, and hands-on operational work. ### What you’ll do - Serve as the **first point of contact** for technical issues from vehicle operators and safety drivers - **Troubleshoot, document, and escalate** technical issues to engineering teams - Use **Unix/Linux command-line tools** to review logs and assist with diagnostics - Monitor **fleet readiness, charging status, and operational health** - Perform **vehicle startup and shutdown** procedures - Support **vehicle dispatch and return** operations - Conduct basic **hardware checks** (e.g., cable connections and onboard equipment) - Move vehicles around the facility when needed - Maintain accurate documentation in **ticketing systems** - Collaborate with **engineering and operations** teams to resolve issues quickly ### What we’re looking for **Required** - At least **1 year** of technical support / IT support / help desk / operations support (or related experience) - Comfortable using **Unix/Linux command line** daily - Experience with commands such as: `cd`, `ls`, `cp`, `rm`, `cat`, `vim`, `scp`, `uptime`, `journalctl` - Experience using **Slack** - Experience with ticketing systems such as: **Jira, YouTrack, ServiceNow, Zendesk** (or similar) - Strong written and verbal communication - Strong documentation skills - High attention to detail - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - **Valid U.S. driver’s license** held for at least **3 years** - Ability to lift up to **50 lbs** - Comfortable working around **vehicles and technology** **Preferred** - Background in technical support / IT / help desk / desktop support / field support / systems support / operations support - Experience in **NOC**, **data center**, **fleet operations**, or **technical operations** - Computer science or information systems education - Military technical experience ### Why you’ll love this opportunity - Work with **cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology** - Gain experience supporting advanced **robotics and vehicle systems** - Blend of **IT support + hands-on operational work** - Collaborative engineering environment - Stable full-time schedule - Opportunity to build experience in a fast-growing technology sector ### Schedule Full-time shifts available: - **First Shift:** 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM - **Second Shift:** 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM - **Third Shift:** 6:00 PM – 1:00 AM
