As a Senior Software Engineer on the RippleX Platform Engineering team, you’ll help ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of XRPL infrastructure. The Platform team blends software engineering, infrastructure, and operations to deliver automated, highly available, cost-efficient systems that protect the XRPL ecosystem and enable developer velocity. ## What you’ll do - Design and implement scalable, resilient infrastructure supporting production-grade XRPL services and public blockchain networks. - Build automation for infrastructure lifecycle, CI/CD workflows, and deployment pipelines (e.g., Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions). - Develop systems for observability, secret management, disaster recovery, and regional failover. - Improve platform reliability via proactive instrumentation, alerting, and incident response (with observability and security teams). - Contribute to internal tooling, self-service workflows, and platform capabilities that improve developer efficiency. - Evaluate new tools to improve scalability and reduce manual overhead. ## What you’ll bring - Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent practical experience). - 4+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years operating cloud-native infrastructure at scale (AWS/GCP preferred). - Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or Java; deep understanding of Linux, networking, and concurrency. - Proven experience with Kubernetes (EKS or similar), container runtimes (Docker/OCI), and service meshes (Istio, Linkerd, etc.). - Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines and deploying infrastructure (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD). - Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm, Ansible) and automation practices. - Familiarity with distributed systems monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent). - Strong leadership and collaboration skills, including mentoring and aligning execution across teams. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving outcomes in complex environments. ## Company & benefits highlights - Fast-paced startup environment with experienced industry leaders - Learning environment with a professional development budget - Inclusive culture and flexible in-office collaboration (10+ days/month optional) - Bi-weekly all-company meetings with leadership - Team offsites and bonding activities **Benefits (highlights):** competitive salary/bonuses/equity; comprehensive benefits (healthcare, retirement, family support); employee giving match; mobile phone stipend; R&R days; wellness reimbursement; generous vacation; parental leave and family planning benefits; catered lunches and fully-stocked kitchens. *Benefits listed above are for full-time employees.* Ripple is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
