**Senior System Software Manager** We’re reshaping the data storage industry—leading with innovative thinking, growing with the team, and building world-class systems software. **The Role** Join our Systems Software Group to lead an engineering team building the core architectural foundation for our high-performance, highly available enterprise storage portfolio. You’ll own the strategy and execution for core platform software, driving innovations in Linux kernel integration, hardware enablement, and NVMe fabric protocols. Partner closely with Product, Hardware, and Release Engineering to deliver predictable, high-quality software releases that define the simplicity and reliability our customers trust. **What You’ll Do** - **Engineering Leadership & Team Development:** Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing systems software engineering team delivering robust Linux kernel features, hardware platform enablement, and advanced NVMe fabric protocols. - **Release Execution & Quality Ownership:** Own end-to-end software delivery for core platform releases, partnering with Program Management and Release Engineering on execution roadmaps, milestone tracking, and phased rollout strategies. - **Partner & Vendor Technical Management:** Lead technical engagements with external vendors and technology partners to ensure third-party deliverables integrate seamlessly into the core platform architecture. - **Strategic Alignment & Platform Impact:** Align team goals with business objectives, translating complex architectural requirements into scalable execution plans that maximize platform performance, system stability, and customer satisfaction. **What You Bring** - **Engineering Management & Leadership:** Proven experience leading, coaching, and growing software engineering teams while staying engaged in system architecture and technical decision-making. - **Systems & Storage Architecture Expertise:** Strong foundation in Linux kernel development or low-level storage/networking protocol development (e.g., NVMe, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SCSI) on x86 architectures. - **SDLC & Quality Delivery:** Hands-on mastery of the full software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and continuous integration to deliver complex enterprise-grade software predictably. - **Core Systems Programming:** Proficiency in C/C++ and automation scripting; strong ability to drive technical problem-solving in complex, multi-threaded systems. - **Work Location Requirement:** Primarily in-office.
