**Forward Deployed Engineer** **About the Role:** Join Anthropic's Applied AI team as a Forward Deployed Engineer, embedding directly with strategic customers to drive transformational AI adoption. You'll collaborate with customer teams to ship advanced AI applications solving real-world business problems, combining engineering expertise with customer-facing skills. **Key Responsibilities:** • Build production applications with Claude models in customer systems • Deliver technical artifacts (MCP servers, sub-agents, agent skills) for production workflows • Provide white glove deployment support in enterprise environments • Identify and codify repeatable deployment patterns • Maintain knowledge of latest LLM capabilities and AI product development stacks • Build long-term customer relationships and identify new AI deployment opportunities • Travel to customer sites (~25% estimated) • Champion Anthropic's mission in the field **You May Be a Good Fit If You Have:** • 4+ years in technical, customer-facing roles (FDE, Software Engineer with consulting, or technical founder experience) • Production experience with LLMs (prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation, deployment at scale) • Strong Python skills + proficiency in TypeScript, Java, or similar; proven shipping of production applications • High agency and ability to navigate ambiguity in complex organizations • Strong collaboration mindset and communication skills • Passion for advancing safe, beneficial AI systems • *Plus:* Background in financial services, healthcare, or enterprise verticals; enterprise IT/AI deployment experience; FDE or professional services background **Compensation & Details:** 💰 $280,000 – $320,000 USD annually 📍 Hybrid (25% office time minimum; some roles require more) 🎓 Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required ✅ Visa sponsorship available **Why Anthropic:** Competitive compensation, optional equity matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible hours, and collaborative culture focused on steerable, trustworthy AI research.
