**Software Engineer II, Growth** at Amplitude **Location:** San Francisco Bay Area **About The Role & Team** The Growth organization focuses on helping users realize long-term value from Amplitude by driving expansion within existing accounts. You'll build features that help new users get activated, leverage AI for insights, discover relevant product features, and expand usage across teams and departments. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and build product features that drive activation, engagement, and cross-team expansion • Work across the full stack using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and GraphQL • Build experiences that improve user onboarding, feature discovery, and product education • Create third-party connections and integrations with Amplitude • Collaborate with Product, Design, GTM, and other engineers to prioritize and deliver impact • Use data to identify opportunities and measure outcomes • Leverage AI coding tools to speed up development • Improve code quality, reliability, and maintainability **What We're Looking For** • Strong experience with React, Node.js, and GraphQL • Ability to break down complex problems and own features end-to-end • Deep thinking about user experience and technical impact • Data-driven decision making and comfort with ambiguity • Clear, proactive communication across functions • Bias toward action and iterative learning • Growth mindset focused on business impact and user success • Proficiency with AI tools (Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude) **Bonus Experience** • Product-led growth or expansion initiatives • In-product education, onboarding, or integration surfaces • Enterprise user design and scaling across diverse org structures • Experimentation and A/B testing platforms • Cross-functional initiative leadership **Compensation & Benefits** Competitive pay, equity, and comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision, flexible PTO, wellness stipends, parental leave, mental health support, ESPP, and more. **Salary Ranges (by location)** • Colorado/Washington: $131,000 - $180,000 • California/New York City: $146,000 - $200,000 Amplitude is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
