Your work will directly shape personalized experiences for 120M+ daily users as Reddit invests in making media (video and audio) core components of the platform. **Key Responsibilities** • Define technical vision and long-term roadmap for Feed Relevance • Coach and develop team members to grow their skills and impact • Partner cross-functionally to identify opportunities and communicate team work • Oversee design, development, and optimization of relevance and content distribution systems • Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams on next-generation AI solutions • Maintain high standards for system performance, reliability, and efficiency • Recruit and hire diverse, talented machine learning engineers **Required Qualifications** • 5+ years building and managing high-performing ML teams • Hands-on experience with large-scale production ML systems (transformers, sequence models, LLMs) • Strong understanding of recommender systems (candidate retrieval, ranking, value modeling) • Ability to develop clear technical strategy aligned with business objectives • Passion for scalable, responsible AI solutions • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills **Compensation & Benefits** **Base Salary:** $266,000 – $372,400 USD • Comprehensive healthcare and income replacement programs • 401(k) with employer match • Family planning and gender-affirming care support • Mental health and coaching benefits • Flexible vacation and paid volunteer time off • Generous paid parental leave **Note:** Remote position.
