Founded in 2011, AlphaSense is headquartered in New York City with 2,000+ employees across the globe. **About the Role:** The Cloud DX team owns the CI/CD pipeline for ~400 engineers distributed globally. We're scaling from dozens to hundreds of production systems running hundreds of microservices across Kubernetes clusters. This Principal role shapes the next-generation architecture for how AlphaSense builds, configures, and safely ships software into growing production environments. This is a hands-on role with organization-wide influence, requiring deep operational and software engineering skill to set technical direction across timezones with Engineering leaders, Security, and senior engineers. **What You'll Do:** • Own CI/CD and configuration management architecture across production fleet • Make spinning up new production environments a templated operation • Define reference architectures with performance profiles per cluster scale • Set progressive delivery standards: canary deployments, automated rollbacks, safe-by-default releases • Build paved paths for product teams to ship anywhere without platform knowledge • Own delivery end-to-end and drive pipeline reliability, speed, and predictability • Evolve the Internal Developer Portal and self-service experience • Partner with Cloud Platform, Security, and Compliance on delivery controls • Set technical direction and mentor Staff/Senior engineers • Embed AI tooling into delivery workflows **Who You Are:** • Platform Engineering experience focused on CI/CD at 250+ engineer companies • Proven ability to own and operate CI/CD platforms at admin and architecture level • Fluent in GitOps and declarative configuration at scale • Hands-on production-quality software development experience • Passion for progressive delivery practices and cloud-native architectures • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence across teams **Nice to Have:** • Experience standing up new production regions or isolated deployments • Background in both product and platform engineering • Knowledge of RBAC, OAuth, and compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) **Compensation:** $246,000–$339,000 USD base + performance bonus, equity, and benefits *AlphaSense is an equal-opportunity employer committed to a work environment that supports all individuals.*
