**Software Engineer - AI Native (Full Stack)** **About the Role** Join Blend's engineering team to design, implement, and maintain the platform powering 20% of mortgages in the US. You'll work end-to-end across the stack with AI coding agents integrated into every stage of development. **Key Responsibilities** • Build features across the full stack—responsive UIs to resilient backend services • Use AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) daily throughout the development lifecycle • Apply AI-driven development practices: spec-driven development, agentic workflows, prompt engineering • Review and harden AI-generated code to production quality • Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams • Design scalable applications with maintenance and resiliency in mind • Participate in code reviews and on-call rotation • Propose and build new features end-to-end **What We're Looking For** • Bachelor's in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent (1-3 years production experience) • Daily AI coding tool usage (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) • Proficiency in AIDLC techniques: problem decomposition, spec writing, prompt engineering, output evaluation • Full-stack skills: Node.js, TypeScript, Golang, React, HTML/CSS/JavaScript • Database experience (Postgres, MongoDB, or similar) • High learning velocity and curiosity about new tools • Strong communication and independent/collaborative work style **Compensation & Benefits** • Base Salary: $92,000 - $109,000 • Performance-based bonus eligibility • Meaningful RSUs in public company stock (NYSE: BLND) • Medical, dental, vision with generous employer contribution • Generous PTO, holidays, maternity/parental leave • 401(k) with company match • Monthly wellness stipend • EAP, pet insurance, paid volunteer time off **Location:** In-office in Raleigh, North Carolina
