About this role
**SOFTWARE ENGINEER (STARLINK/AKOUSTIS)** Akoustis, a wholly owned subsidiary of SpaceX, is seeking a driven Senior Software Developer to join our semiconductor fabrication team. You'll lead software development projects in process automation, data systems, and reporting to support Starlink's mission of connecting the world and enabling human life on Mars. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** • Develop highly reliable software solutions for Akoustis production and engineering • Create applications that improve production operations • Build prototypes to prove out key design concepts • Integrate production automation software with manufacturing equipment • Develop and maintain infrastructure for internal and external operations • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to validate software effectiveness • Follow high software standards and engineering best practices **BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM + 1+ years full-stack software experience • OR 3+ years professional full-stack software development experience (internships applicable) **PREFERRED SKILLS:** • C#, .NET, Python, Go, Java, or similar object-oriented languages • Front-end: Blazor, Angular, React, or similar frameworks • SECS/GEM semiconductor manufacturing automation • SQL and database schema design (MariaDB/MySQL) • Docker or related deployment technology • Microsoft Power BI or Business Intelligence platforms • MES/ERP or enterprise systems experience • Strong communication and team leadership skills **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:** • Willing to work long hours and weekends as needed • Must work onsite (remote not considered) **COMPENSATION:** Level 1: $100,000 - $160,000 | Level 2: $115,000 - $195,000 Comprehensive benefits include medical/vision/dental, 401(k), stock options, paid parental leave, and 3+ weeks vacation. **ITAR REQUIREMENT:** U.S. citizen, national, green card holder, refugee, or asylee status required.
