**Principal Software Engineer** **About Array** Array is a financial innovation platform helping digital brands, financial institutions, and fintechs deliver compelling consumer products to market faster. We provide credit and identity monitoring tools, privacy protection, and a financial ads marketplace via embeddable widgets or API. **The Role** As Array's highest-level individual contributor in Engineering, you'll have technical scope across the company. Working alongside business and technology leaders, you'll solve consequential engineering problems, turn ambiguity into action, and drive measurable outcomes. **You Will:** • Lead through ambiguity on engineering problems that matter most • Make complex systems simpler through improved architecture and practices • Shape technical direction across Array with strong judgment and clear recommendations • Multiply effectiveness of senior engineers through coaching and technical leadership • Own outcomes across teams and domains without needing formal authority • Stay close to the work using code, architecture, data, and production systems • Use AI tools as your default to think, build, and ship faster **You Have:** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience at Staff/Principal level • Significant experience designing and operating complex production systems • Career history of increasing scope and impact beyond your immediate team • Default sense of urgency and ability to create momentum • Self-direction and ownership to thrive remotely • Curiosity, humility, and ability to challenge assumptions constructively • Instinctive use of AI to accelerate your work **Compensation & Benefits** 💰 $200,000+ base salary (depending on experience) + ISO grant 🏥 100% medical, dental, vision premiums for employees; 70% for dependents 🏖️ Unlimited PTO + 14 company holidays 💼 100% 401k match up to 4% with immediate vesting 👶 Generous parental leave 🏠 $1,000 desk setup subsidy + $100/month wifi/cell subsidy ☀️ Summer Fridays (half-days late May–August) **Interview Process:** Recruiter Conversation → Hiring Manager Interview → Loop Round **Reports to:** SVP of Engineering | **Remote-first company** *We encourage applications even if you don't check every box.
