**Software Engineer Intern (Winter 2027)** **About the Role** Figma is seeking software engineering interns to make an impact across different layers of our product and infrastructure. You'll be embedded into small, collaborative engineering teams, working closely with mentors and teammates to ship meaningful features, tools, or systems. **Location & Timeline** San Francisco or New York Hub | Start Date: January 4, 2027 **Engineering Interest Areas** When you apply, share which areas excite you most: • **Product**: Full stack user-facing features, collaboration tools, growth experiments • **Platform/Infrastructure**: Distributed systems, developer tooling, performance & scalability • **Security Engineering**: Security systems, product security tooling, detection, privacy features • **Open**: Flexible and exploring different types of work **What You'll Do** • Be fully embedded on a Figma engineering team • Contribute to projects aligned with team goals and impact • Collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and QA • Build, document, and maintain tests, features, or infrastructure • Participate in peer code review • Ship your project(s) by internship end **We'd Love to Hear From You If You Have** • Experience writing clean code in a general-purpose language (C++, JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.) with solid CS fundamentals • Experience solving technical problems through school, work, or personal projects • Curiosity about how systems are designed, from infrastructure to UI • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset **Compensation** $55/hour USD | Housing stipend and travel reimbursement included **Equal Opportunity** Figma is an equal opportunity workplace.
