**Software Engineer II, Frontend** **About the Role** We are seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer to help build and evolve Crunchyroll's connected-device applications. You will develop and maintain high-performance streaming experiences on Roku while contributing to shared client architecture, reusable application frameworks, and cross-platform capabilities. **Key Responsibilities** • Design, develop, and optimize Living Room applications • Contribute to reusable libraries, application frameworks, and architectural patterns • Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues across application layers • Optimize application startup time, memory usage, and playback experiences • Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers • Create and maintain clear technical documentation **About You** • 2+ years of professional software development experience building production applications • Experience developing and maintaining large-scale client-side applications • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript • Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, or similar) • Strong understanding of application architecture, state management, and component patterns • Experience optimizing performance across connected-device environments **Location** San Francisco, CA **Compensation** $135,100 – $168,900 USD **Benefits** • Competitive salary plus performance bonus • Flexible time off policies • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage • 401(k) with employer match • HSA and FSA programs • Commuter benefits and pet insurance • Support program for new parents **Reports to:** Senior Engineering Manager, LRX Core
