**Software Engineer, ML Platform** **About the Role:** Gusto is seeking a Machine Learning Platform and Infrastructure Engineer to build and scale ML/AI platform solutions. You'll work closely with AI/ML engineers to rapidly develop, deploy, and iterate high-quality ML/AI infrastructure at scale, ensuring reliability and effectiveness. **Day-to-Day Responsibilities:** • Build core MLOps solutions with automated pipelines and standardized processes for model development, deployment, monitoring, and retraining • Develop and maintain frameworks for ML model development and deployment • Collaborate with ML/AI teams to determine business requirements and SLAs • Enhance infrastructure supporting machine learning services • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for model deployment • Apply AI tools as part of your engineering workflow • Adopt latest best practices for AI technologies in technical development **What We're Looking For:** • 4+ years of software engineering experience (Python, Ruby, or Java) • Demonstrated experience with ML infrastructure (feature stores, model development, deployment, observability tools) • Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS preferred) • Curiosity and experimentation with emerging AI frameworks • Comfort with AI-assisted development tools **Compensation & Location:** • Denver: $160,000–$200,000/year • San Francisco & New York: $190,000–$240,000/year • Hybrid: 2-3 days/week in office • Offices in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City **Benefits:** Competitive base pay, health insurance, 401(k)s, equity (RSUs), and more.
