About this role
**Sr. Network Engineer** The Network Engineering team designs and operates mission critical networks for data centers powering internal operations and our fleet of vehicles. These networks feature highly redundant, secure, and high-performance architectures at scale. You will lead the design of new architectures, innovate on AI-native operations, and challenge the status quo in creating world-class networks. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** • Architect, design, & deploy highly redundant data centers for mission critical operations • Lead end-to-end automation of the network lifecycle: provisioning, configuration management, validation, monitoring • Create and maintain AI-driven network operations: design AI and machine learning tools to monitor network health, detect anomalies, and proactively detect anomalous hardware behavior • Automate rapid provisioning & upgrades of network devices & servers • Troubleshoot and resolve networking hardware & software problems • Optimize performance across hardware, topologies, protocols, and software **BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:** • 5+ years of experience designing, operating & automating critical networks **PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:** • 5+ years with Juniper, Cisco, Aruba, Arista, NVIDIA hardware • 5+ years automating network configurations & monitoring • 5+ years with kernel systems, Linux networking, high-speed optical modules, RDMA • AI native engineer with expertise deploying & looping AI agents **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:** • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary • ITAR compliance required (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee status) SpaceX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
