**Sr Staff Software Engineer (Quality & Automation)** **About the Role** Join Zscaler's ZPA Engineering team as a Sr Staff Software Engineer leading software quality engineering and test automation for our distributed security cloud. This hybrid role (San Jose, CA, minimum 3 days/week) reports to the Senior Manager, Engineering. **What You'll Do** • Gain in-depth understanding of Zscaler cloud technologies, particularly Datapath, and leverage AI frameworks for test-driven development • Work closely with developers and product management on new features • Lead AI-assisted test plan generation, execution, test automation, and bug fix validation • Contribute to core cloud operations including phased rollouts, feature enablement, and capacity planning • Monitor, diagnose, and resolve complex system failures across distributed networks **What We're Looking For** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field • 5+ years of experience in network testing and automation • Experience testing cloud, security, and Datapath technologies • Familiarity with AWS/GCP, observability tools, and operational automation • Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience with AI-assisted testing and automation frameworks • Prior experience with Zero Trust Architecture or security domains • Experience supporting high-scale cloud operations **Compensation & Benefits** Base Pay Range: $157,500 – $225,000 USD Comprehensive benefits including health plans, time off, parental leave, retirement options, education reimbursement, and in-office perks. *Zscaler is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.*
