**IT Network Engineer, Mission Systems** SpaceX is seeking an exceptional network engineer with mission-critical and large-scale production environment experience to support high-cadence launch operations and high-reliability production networks. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** • Design and implement highly available networks with routing and redundancy technologies • Design and maintain mission data center and site networks per company standards • Evaluate, procure, and deploy network hardware (switches, firewalls, SDWAN appliances) • Contribute to network automation tooling and deployment frameworks • Plan and coordinate network maintenance windows with stakeholders • Troubleshoot network issues and publish root cause analysis documentation • Provide direct networking support during launch and test campaigns • Enhance network monitoring for operational telemetry and issue detection • Create and maintain network documentation and architecture overviews • Collaborate cross-functionally on network design and failure mode analysis • Perform job walks with customers, vendors, and contractors • Ensure compliance with industry and cybersecurity standards (ITAR, ISO, NIST) **BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:** • Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or STEM + 3+ years network engineering experience • OR 5+ years professional network engineering experience **PREFERRED SKILLS:** • Layer 2/3 network design in latency-sensitive/industrial environments • Multi-vendor experience (Cisco, Arista, Juniper) • GitOps and Infrastructure as Code frameworks • WDM and fiber optics infrastructure • Network segmentation, QoS, multicast, redundancy protocols • Scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python) and automation (Terraform, Ansible) • Linux/Windows system administration • CCNA/CCNP certifications • OT/aerospace/defense industry experience • Strong communication skills **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:** • DoD background check clearance for launch site access • Flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and 24/7 on-call rotation • Willingness to travel up to 20% worldwide • Physical requirements: lift 30 lbs, work at heights, valid driver's license **ITAR REQUIREMENTS:** Must be U.S. citizen, national, green card holder, refugee, or asylee, or eligible for State Department authorization.
